A special edition has been prepared for the Xiaomi 12T family. Let’s meet the Xiaomi 12T Pro Daniel Arsham Edition. Xiaomi 12T Pro Daniel Arsham Edition was introduced today for the 12T Pro. This special edition, which carries the signature of New York-based designer Daniel Arsham, makes a difference with rich box content and design elements compared to the regular version.
12T Pro Daniel Arsham Edition design is about “Continuation of time”
The back of the phone is especially eye-catching. Here, a design based on “crystals, volcanic ash, and selenite bronze” is combined to create the illusion of 3D depth. This unique phone will cost €899 and only 2,000 units will be made. It also comes with a special MIU theme. Pre-orders begin on December 5, with the actual sale of the Xiaomi 12T Pro Daniel Arsham Edition scheduled for December 16 on mi.com.
Xiaomi 12T Pro Daniel Arsham Edition is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, and it’s maxed out with 12GB of RAM plus 256GB of storage. Also has a 200-megapixel main camera. This package includes a 120W charger, and it can fully charge the phone’s 5,000mAh battery in just 19 minutes.
Daniel Arsham said in 20 years people who will have this phone will use it as a sculptural object, linked to a particular moment in time and carrying it beyond its functionality. The concept artist experimented with creating different textures. So the back panel is a result of “his sculptural propositions of obsolescence and natural erosions on a smartphone”.
Xiaomi mentions it on its website as follows: “Everything in life worth waiting for needs time. Time to grow, time to live, time to age and time to become timeless. In time, past, present and future become one. It’s the essence of our existence. It makes life the beautiful, wonderful, unexpected adventure that it is. All we have to do is give it time.” and “Three layers in time: Crystals, volcanic ash, selenite bronze. All beautifully fused together under LDI etched outer glass that show how mesmerising the passage of time can be when Daniel Arsham turns the hands.”.
